October 28, 2016......I was honored to receive First Prize in the inaugural

"My HavreDeGrace" Art Competition hosted by the HDG Public Library.

While looking for inspiration one blustery Saturday in September 2016, I happened upon a small flag memorial just beneath the AMTRAC railroad bridge. Watching people board a nice sailboat for an ejoyable day on the bay was  stark in contrast to the sacifices made by many American servicemen.

October 15, 2016......I painted a typical morning of activity at the Bel Air, MD. Volunteer Fire Station from the roof of a nearby parking garage for entry in the 2nd Annual Harford Center For The Arts International Plein Air Painting competition.

As the painting was still available after the show, I thought it would be happier hanging at the Fire Station then my lonely studio!

October 14, 2016......My painting entitled "Rush Hour" was chosen by a majority vote by the collectors at this years Harford Center For The Arts ( HCA ) 2nd Annual International Plein Air Painting Competition in Harford County Maryland. It was sold that same evening!

April 26, 2016......My New Orleans

watercolor adventure with one of the worlds great watercolor artist "Alvaro Castagnet", has come to an end. Working with a true master like Alvaro was humbling but definitely inspiring.

I'm eager to take what I've learned and start

painting with greater freedom, spontaneity and expressiveness.
